Futurecity have been invited to exhibit the sculptural seating project 'Skystation' in the features area at 100% design, Earls Court, London. This area is designated to a select few unusual and interesting design projects.
Skystation is a unique public sculptural seating project resulting from an innovative interdisciplinary collaboration between artist Peter Newman and cultural agency Futurecity. Inspired by Le Corbusier’s LC4 Chaise Longue, the Skystation is a circular outdoor seat with contours intended to fit the human form. Skystation is a robust and elegant sculptural form, able to provide seating for up to 12 people, with a proven track record of use in public spaces. It comes as a signed and numbered edition of 100 sculptures, available in a range of colours.
