Futurecity have been appointed by Highland to commission an artist to create
an artwork to be embedded in the aluminium facade of the key building within
their new Artisan Apartments scheme in Cambridge. The development will
comprise of 113 apartments and ground floor retail space along with new
landscaping which will transform this prominent site in Cambridge, located
at the junction of Hills Road and Cherry Hinton Road, opposite Cambridge’s
Leisure Square.
Highland Trilatera Ltd are the property developers responsible for delivering
the Artisan Apartments scheme which is a joint venture vehicle between
Almaren and Highland Ltd. David Hughes, Managing Director of Highland,
commented: ‘The Artisan Apartments site is the final piece in the Cambridge
Leisure / Hills Road jigsaw. Residents and visitors to Cambridge will have
seen this area transform itself over the past 5 years and the Artisan
Apartments scheme will complete the look of this vibrant part of the City.’
