Liberty Property Trust Uk Ltd and Countryside Properties

Futurecity have been appointed by Liberty Property Trust UK Ltd and
Countryside Properties to structure and deliver a wide-reaching cultural and public art strategy for the new Cambridge Biomedical Campus site (CBC) using embedded arts programmes, designed to help create real places, provide real ownership of cultural ideas and support Cambridge’s identity as a knowledge city.

For its size, Cambridge is one of the most cosmopolitan cities in Europe.
Most of the research teams on the campus have leaders or students from
around the world contributing their knowledge to making Cambridge "Europe's
Innovation Capital". The CBC project offers an opportunity to support the
profile of the city by using the arts as an essential ingredient to attract
investment and new people.

It is not only the scale of CBC (over 69 acres and the largest site in the
South Cambridge city extension), which is impressive, but the potential for
a project with an international perspective. The area is intrinsically
connected to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, with its prestigious reputation as a
leading centre for research and high-level expertise in biomedicine.
