Gitta’s furniture commission is centred on creating a sensitive, patient-focused narrative throughout the public spaces of the Cancer Centre. Through extensive research and consultation with both patients and staff, a clear need emerged for greater privacy within the open-plan atria.
In response, her seating clusters offer inward-facing, reflective environments that introduce playful layers of colour across the building. Her ‘Welcome’ table and accompanying furniture break away from the traditional large meeting or reception table format, helping the reception areas maintain the Centre’s philosophy of shared, inclusive space.
