Crafted Text Trail

The Crafted Text Trail is a series of six site-specific text fragments embedded within the landscape of the Kew Bridge West development, created by artist Alec Peever and poet Alyson Hallett.

The texts reflect on the role of water in shaping the history and identity of Kew Bridge, inviting discovery through movement rather than direct interpretation. Each fragment has been hand-carved into green slate slabs and rough-hewn York stone boulders using traditional stone-carving techniques.

Distributed across shaded glades, along paths and at key points of arrival, the texts complement the landscape design while creating moments of pause for play, reflection and contemplation within the public realm.
